In this image provided by the Hereford Cathedral Perpetual Trust is a version of the Magna Carta issued in 1217, a rarely seen document which enshrines many of the charters freedoms in the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. Nearly 800 years after King John tried to avert a civil war by issuing the by issuing the Magna Carta, the delicate version of the document is coming to the United States and will be displayed at the Houston Museum of Natural Science.
