TIME Magazine’s “Person of the Year”: President Obama

time

This morning TIME Magazine announced that President Obama is their “Person of the Year” for 2012.  He last received that honor in 2008.  The other contenders were: Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani teenager who was shot in the head for advocating for girls’ education; Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi; and Bill and Hillary Clinton.  Obama is only the second African-American after Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., to be selected.  I eagerly await the usual cacophony of rancor from the Tea Party loons over TIME’s choice.
