Boyd resigned his position shortly after he made this comment.
Oh goodness. No wonder he resigned. Even if one secretly thinks this, as a public official, one should not say it. People look to leaders for example and guidance, not blatent ignorance of community, lack of compassion and egocentricity.
Well, he’s a conservative Republican, so it’s not surprising. As we often say in Texas, bless his heart. (Translation: what a *^$@$+@ !) I am surprised, however, that he resigned.
Blessing his heart may be the only thing that could help him if he committed political suicide!
