    No wonder he was a genius, albeit detached from reality!

      I don’t know if he was detached from reality, but he had a uniquely curious view of life and death. Some of his films are among my favorites; mainly “Persona” and “Cries & Whispers”. They’re tantamount to slow-motion horror films – purely psychological but frightening nonetheless.
