I feel it’s odd that Barr, a known Trump loyalist, suddenly seems to have turned on his boss – the borderline psychotic with a mob mentality who has been masquerading as president of the United States for 3 years.  I also don’t understand why Trump is allowed to maintain his Twitter account.  After Barack Obama won the presidency in 2008 – without any question, I have to add – the Secret Service confiscated his Blackberry, as a matter of national cybersecurity.  And, in the current state of affairs, one of the biggest threats to our national security is Trump.

The right-wing hypocrisy over the performance is glaring.  Many of the people who condemned former President Bill Clinton for his sexual indiscretions have amazingly ignored the even more egregious actions of Donald Trump.  I follow Pavlovitz’s site, “Stuff That Needs to Be Said,” which has a definite liberal take on modern American life.

Worst Quote of the Week – February 7, 2020

“So actually in the Constitution of the United States (if) they are found guilty of being a socialist member you either go to prison or are shot.”

– Rodney Garcia, a Republican legislator from the state of Montana.

Garcia made the comment after a speech by former Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke, who was Montana’s representative in the U.S. House for two years.  Garcia said he was concerned about socialists “entering our government” and socialists “everywhere” in Billings, before saying the Constitution says to either shoot socialists or put them in jail.  The Montana Republican Party has condemned Garcia’s remarks.

A former Marine, Moulton led one of the first infantry platoons into Baghdad at the start of the Iraq War in 2003 – a conflict initiated by another well-known draft dodger and indiscriminate liar: George W. Bush.  He left Trump’s Congressional address this past Tuesday when Trump began talking about his “record-breaking” investments and support of the U.S. military.

Wiles later said the statement just “came out of my mouth,” adding, “All I pointed out was many of the people involved were Jewish.”  When asked if the term could be interpreted as anti-Semitic, Wiles declared, “It’s hard to say.  I don’t know.  I can tell you from my heart there is no ill will toward the Jewish people, with all sincerity.”

The next “coup” – Jewish-led or not – needs to come when Trump’s fat ass is voted out of office and sent back to his Manhattan penthouse, along with the rest of his corrupt family.

The comment caused host Don Lemmon to burst into a fit of uncontrolled laughter.  Wilson then said, “Donald Trump’s the smart one — and y’all elitists are dumb!’ ”

Lemmon’s other guest, Wajahat Ali, a New York Times columnist and CNN contributor added, “You elitists with your geography and your maps — and your spelling!’”

“Lawyer lawsuits?  We’re talking about the impeachment of a president of the United States, duly elected, and the managers are complaining about lawyer lawsuits?  The Constitution allows lawyer lawsuits.  It’s disrespecting the Constitution of the United States to even say that in this chamber.  Lawyer lawsuits.”

– Jay Sekulow, personal attorney to Donald Trump, apparently misunderstanding the term FOIA (Freedom of Information Act)

Sekulow flew into a rage because he misheard a common legal phrase.  Representative Val Demings, one of the impeachment managers, had said, “The president’s lawyers may suggest that the House should have sought – that this House should have sought these materials in court, or awaited further lawsuits under the Freedom of Information Act, a.k.a. FOIA lawsuits.”  She repeated term “FOIA lawsuits,” which must have struck Sekulow as unfamiliar.

As we often say here in Texas, ‘Bless his heart.’  Or in more common vernacular, ‘Dumb ass!’

Conversion therapy is an ancient ritual where devoutly social conservatives try to beat or exorcise homosexual inclinations from people.  Here in the U.S. it’s been connected to high rates of suicide among teenagers.  I’ve personally seen this action.  It’s call the Roman Catholic Church.

Alas, Chris, you can’t reason with technology any more than you can reason with politicians, toddlers, rap singers and angry felines.  Someone once told me technology was only as smart as the people using it.  I promptly retorted that technology was only as smart as the people who designed it.  And, since most of us who use technology are actually smarter than most of those who design it, we’re all trapped in a vicious cycle of circuitous frustration.
