“There’s a numbness I imagine some of us are feeling, because there’s a sameness to this. Anywhere, USA. It just feels like this happens over and over and over again. Rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat. It begs the damn question: What the hell is going on in the United States of America?”
California Gov. Gavin Newsom, after a mass shooting at a rail yard in San José
The attack – which took 10 lives, including the gunman – is the 232nd mass shooting in the U.S. this year.
And he’s right. I’m just as sick of democratic politicians as I am Republican ones. The Republicans see these people as acceptable losses. Democrats keep whining about needing change but all I see them do is talk. Take some action, dammit!
The Democratic Party has become too wimpy over the past 25 years or so.
“a numbness I imagine some of us are feeling”
I think numbness came and went back in 1999 in Columbine. Now it’s just a seething rage that goes unanswered because no one is really willing to argue with a bunch of armed potential gun-men. If you want to stock-pile guns, you should be forced to go live in a compound with other people just like you and no way out. They can all shoot each other and then gun control is handled.
That’s a great idea!
Thank you. I’ve had many years to think of it LOL
