This photograph of a solid black wolf by Kurt Kemnitzer was named “Photo of the Day” for February 10, 2021 by Smithsonian Magazine. Kemnitzer actually snapped the picture in November 2020. While I’ve seen plenty of black domestic dogs, I can honestly say I’ve never seen a solid black wolf. As a bona fide wolf lover whose favorite color is black, this photo is almost like a dream to me.
As a massive arctic hurricane swept in from the northwestern Pacific and into the northeastern U.S., panda bears at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington D.C. did what many animals do with an abundance of snow. They had fun!
This week Capitol Hill police officer Brian D. Sicknick was honored in the Capitol Rotunda. Sicknick was caught up in the January 6 riots where he sustained serious injuries and died later.
“This categorical statement surely would have surprised the Framers of the First Amendment, who believed in freedom of speech but not so much in democracy. The Framers of our constitutional system thought they were building a ‘republic,’ with limited suffrage and many checks on ‘democracy.”
Alan Dershowitz, claiming that the current impeachment of Donald Trump is an attack on free speech and arguing that freedom of speech is “essential to keeping it a republic, but not necessarily a democracy.”
“If you’re going to pursue this, and you wanna start calling witnesses, and you want to drag this thing out, it would be fair to have Kamala Harris’ tape play where she bailed people out of jail. What more could you do to incite future violence, than to pay the bail of the people who broke up the shops and beat up the cops. How’s that not inciting future violence? Be careful what you wish for my Democratic colleagues; be careful what you wish for.”
“I haven’t even looked at what all she’s done. I’d have to hold back a statement on that. Travel in this weather it’s been a little rough looking at any news or whatever.”
“When we defend equal rights of the people the world over, of women and girls, of LGBTQ individuals, indigenous communities and people with disabilities, the people of every ethnic background and religion, we also ensure that those rights are protected for our own children here in America.”
President Joe Biden, upon issuing a memorandum to protect LGBTQ rights as part of a human rights agenda for the United States
“There were a lot more Republican leaders, and their constituents, who attempted to push back then than there are now. To a large extent, the people who have inherited the Birch legacy today, I think, are more empowered [and] more visible within the Republican Party. There is much less criticism; there is much less of an effort to drum them out; there is a much greater fear of antagonizing them. They are the so-called Republican base.”
As if we need any more idiots procreating, here comes some disheartening news: Paris Hilton wants to be a mom. The notorious hotel heiress recently announced – like people really wanted to hear this – that she and her boyfriend, Carter Reum, have begun in vitro fertilization.
Help us, Jesus! The welfare of civilization is at stake!
Hilton has gone through boyfriends like I’ve gone through bottles of vodka. And, as a recovering alcoholic, I should know!
Hilton stated she’d like to have twins, a boy and a girl, and that IVF is “the only way” to ensure that happens. To help her along, Hilton consulted with another longtime friend, an equally disingenuous celebrity famous for nothing else other than being incredibly wealthy – Kim Kardashian. Kardashian had given birth to twins via IVF, which, Hilton declares is something “I didn’t even know about.”
Living in that billionaire bubble, Hilton doesn’t know how most things work – like when you have to pay for your light bill or shop for food. And this chick wants to bring more of her kind into the world. Like I said – civilization is at stake.
The action of promising; a promise; a document conveying a promise. In civil law, a promise not yet formally accepted, and therefore in certain cases revocable.
Example: I love to hear whatever pollicitation our elected officials spit out during their campaigns.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Green stalked and verbally assailed David Hogg, a survivor of the 2018 Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida, earlier this week. The alphamore congresswoman from Georgia ran and apparently won on her far-right extremist views, including that recent school shootings were hoaxes designed to restrict gun. Like most right-wing idiots, Taylor-Green puts guns above the value of human lives. For his part, young Mr. Hogg showed true character by ignoring the screeching banshee following him.
